Join us at MAXT for our most ambitious Young Creatives project yet!
We’ve got our hands on a vending machine, we need you to turn it into an art piece and make pieces to fill it with creativity.
This 16 week season is going to provide new opportunities for attendees, from newcomers to previous makers. With student lead learning in our workshops equipped with 3D printers, laser and vinyl cutters, printing presses, screen printing, textiles equipment, stained glass, electronics and more.
Students will work together to design, plan, acquire skills and produce a filled art vending machine ready to be hosted at a public location as their final piece.
Along the way they’ll be provided with training by MAXT staff in their chosen disciplines as well as encouraged to think creatively through journaling and a series of art challenges.
Mentorship by MAXT staff and volunteers is an important part of the program, offering guidance, experience and critique. MAXT is a safe space for all to experiment and students will be expected to be self motivated in problem solving and pursuing their own goals as a maker.
MAXT has secured some generous funding to support Young Creatives in 2026. We are able to continue to offer this program at a significantly reduced rate.
